“My wish is to see my face on the mural before it fades.”

- Jose Pereira, former wrongful detainee depicted on our DC mural

In collaboration with artist Isaac Campbell, the BOFH campaign has unveiled four wheat paste murals to date at the following locations:

  1. 3125 M Street NW, Washington, DC on July 20, 2022; removed December 2023 due to decay

  2. 1203 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX on July 4, 2023; removed July 2024

  3. 3163 Larimer Street, Denver, CO on October 19, 2023

  4. 3125 M Street NW, Washington, DC on July 16, 2024

The murals depict Americans in our campaign wrongfully detained or held hostage at the time of installation.

Wheat paste is not a permanent material. Time and the elements cause pieces of the murals to fade. This is intentional, to serve as a reminder that over time, our loved ones are deteriorating both mentally and physically, underscoring the need for our President to use all tools to #BringThemHome.
